Veteran actor Peter Stormare, best known for his roles in The Big Lebowski, Fargo and Prison Break, has signed on to play the villainous sheriff in Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, Deadline reports.
He joins Jeremy Renner as Hansel, Gemma Arterton as Gretel and Famke Janssen as the leader of the witches in director Tommy Wirkola’s dark action-adventure, which picks up 15 years after the fairy-tale siblings survived their chilling encounter at the gingerbread house. Now grown, they’ve become highly specialized bounty hunters on the search for witches.
According to Bloody Disgusting, Norwegian actress Ingrid Bolsø Berdal also been cast as a witch described as “a hardcore killing machine.”
