Neverland's newest recruit: Keira Knightley will star as Tinker Bell in Peter Pan prequel

She has been treading the boards of the West End play The Children’s Hour while her film Never Let Me Go has been getting rave reviews at the cinema.
And it seems there is now slowing down for Keira Knightley who will be starring in a new Peter Pan prequel movie.
The 25-year-old actress is set to play the fairy Tinker Bell in the new flick.

The Pirates of the Caribbean star will voice the character in the Neverland film which is to be screened in the summer.

She joins a cast which already includes Anna Friel, Bob Hoskins and Charles Dance for the film, to be screened in two parts on Sky Movies Premiere HD later this year.
Keira, who split from her boyfriend Rupert Friend in December leads a colony of tree-dwelling spirits in the film, which imagines a world before JM Barrie's classic tale begins.

Knightley will record her role shortly.
Rhys Ifans plays Hook, the mentor of a gang of young pickpockets which includes Peter (Charlie Rowe), who steal a magical treasure which transports them to Neverland.
The British actress has recently purchased  a new £2 million home in East London.
After living in Mayfair in recent years, the actress is set to return to Shoreditch, where she previously lived with Rupert Friend earlier in their five year relationship.
