'Spider-Man' comic rakes in $1M

Jam Showbiz - A rare copy of a Spider-Man comic has stunned auctioneers by selling for a massive one million dollars.
The 1962 copy of Amazing Fantasy No. 15, which features the debut appearance of the webslinging superhero, made $1.1 million when it went under the hammer and sold to a private buyer on ComicConnect.com.

ComicConnect.com chief executive Stephen Fishler, says, "The fact that a 1962 comic has sold for $1.1 million is a bit of a record-shattering event. That something that recent can sell for that much and be that valuable is awe-inspiring."

The record sale price for a comic book remains held by a copy of Action Comics No. 1 with Superman on the cover, which made $1.5 million last year.
