Julianne Moore to Bewitch the Seventh Son

Word has broken about yet another project featuring witches and witchcraft, this one coming with a top named star to play the wickedest witch of them all. If only she could be green!

Bloody Disgusting reports that Julianne Moore (pictured right; Shelter, Hannibal) has been cast alongside Jeff Bridges in The Seventh Son, Warner Bros. Pictures' second attempt this decade at an exorcism movie. Moore will play "Mother Malkin," the most sinister of witches who uses blood magic. Bridges was previously cast as Exorcist Master Gregory, aka "The Spook".

Sergei Bodrov (Nomad, Mongol, Yakuza Girl) is directing from a screenplay by Max Borenstein.
The Seventh Son was formerly known as The Spook’s Apprentice and is part of Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures’ adaptation of Joseph Delaney’s young adult series The Last Apprentice. It is based on the first book in the trilogy, The Wardstone Chronicles.

Production begins September 13 in Vancouver with Legendary Pictures producing. More soon!
