It's Happening! K-Stew Will Play Snow White

K-Snow it is!
Back in January, we learned that Kristen Stewart was up for the title role in Universal's Snow White and the Huntsman, and we thought she COULD work for the role, given the nature of this version of the classic tale.

Now it's been confirmed by Snow White producer Palak Patel via Twitter that K-Stew will play Snow White in the upcoming film:

KStew is officially playing Snow White and her deal is in final negotiations and will close next week.

Clearly, she isn't right for the upbeat, song-happy Disney version of the character, but this movie is going to be dark and gritty…so yeah, we suppose she'll be able to pull this off.
