It could have been an awkward meeting - one Doctor Who bumping into a former Doctor Who.
But that certainly wasn't the case when current Time Lord Matt Smith came face-to-face with the man he replaced, David Tennant, at the press night for new West End show Our Boys on Wednesday night.
The men had turned up to support another Doctor Who alumni, Billie Piper, as they watched her husband Laurence Fox take to the stage in the play.

And they looked positively delighted as they bumped into each other at the after party following the performance.
At first the men appeared to joke around and try to be stand offish with one another.
But that soon dispersed as the actors burst into laughter and spent some time catching up and joking around with each other.

Both stars opted for dark ensembles, with Smith opting for black jeans with a jacket and smart shoes.
Meanwhile Tennant, who left the iconic character behind to make way for Matt in 2010, stepped out in jeans but smartened his look up with a shirt and tie with a tailored jacket.
Smith also took the opportunity to catch up with Billie Piper, who looked radiant in her coat with red lipstick and up 'do.

Although it was a much better look than when she first arrived at the Duchess Theatre in a purple knitted jumper.
And she was clearly proud of her man as she cuddled up to him after he entertained the crowds on stage.
Fox appears in the production about six young soldiers injured from the frontline, based on Jonathan Lewis' original 1993 play.

It was a star-studded affair as other celebrities turned up to show their support and check out the show.
They included the likes of Alistair McGowan and his partner, TV presenter Mal Giedroyc, actress Jemima Rooper and Andrew Lee Potts.
