Joe Jonas confirms split from Twilight star Ashley Greene

This week a recent interview with Joe Jonas was published in which he gushes about his girlfriend Ashley Greene.
The timing is, to say the least, unfortunate, as it was revealed today that Joe, 21, and Ashley, 24, actually split a few weeks ago.

According to sources close to the couple, the break-up was 'mutual and amicable'.

The New York Post claims the split is down to 'conflicting work schedules.'

 

But in the interview with Details magazine, which went on sale this week, Jonas Brother Joe mused: 'I think what works about it is she really puts my feelings first. She understands my busy schedule.

'She'll fly out to my shows - she's been to places in South America that I can't even pronounce.'

Perhaps Ashley became less accommodating. The actress has been busy herself, working on the final installments of the Twilight Saga, Breaking Dawn, in recent months.
The singer also revealed that he had flown to Jacksonville, Florida to meet the Miss Green's parents and that the relationship 'feels good.' He had also visited Ashley on the Breaking Dawn set.
Perhaps awkwardly, the pair are both currently in New York.

Jonas is working on his debut solo album in the city, while Ashley has been shooting a campaign for make-up brand Mark.

She replaced The Hills star Lauren Conrad as face of the cosmetics brand in June last year.

She also found time for some lunch with her father and to see Spider-Man musical Turn Off The Dark.
Ashley looked rather down over the weekend when she partied at Hollywood hotpsot the Roxbury.

Onlookers who spotted Jonas at LA club The Trousdale last week told E! Online that he was acting very much like a 'single guy'.

The website says witnesses claim: 'He had his hands all over this girl's ass saying he couldn't take his eyes off her when she danced.'


Joe previously dated actress Camilla Belle and country singer Taylor Swift.
Swift immortalised their break-up in song when she revealed she was dumped for Belle after Joe and Camilla met on the set of his Lovebug video in 2008.
