Merrick here...
The HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON sequel has, evidently secured its voice cast - per Empires' discussion with the film's writer/director, Dean DeBlois (HERE).
The main voice cast was already confirmed to return, including Jay Baruchel (Hiccup), Craig Ferguson (Belch), America Ferrera (Astrid), Christopher Mintz-Plasse (Fishlegs), Jonah Hill (Snotlout), TJ Miller (Ruffnut) and Kristen Wiig (Tuffnut). But now the last major holdout, Gerard Butler, has signed on according to DeBlois, and cinematographer Roger Deakins (a BAFTA winner last night) is back to consult on the lighting.
There's a bit more, including DeBlois' take on the sequel's scale, available via the link above - or you can check it out the embed below.
My four year old can't stop playing with his electronic Fire Breathing Night Fury toy - it strafes other action figures, wings flapping and mouth ablaze, taking on Transformers, battling Godzilla, often winning. He'll be beside himself when the new movie comes out.
