At age 21, Daniel Radcliffe is so ready to hang up his Harry Potter wand.
When the actor heard rumblings that J.K. Rowling was writing another Harry Potter installment, he wasn't afraid to tell the author what he really thought of the idea...
"I was worried!" revealed Radcliffe.
"I texted her, ‘Look, is this true? Are you writing another book?!' " Radcliffe told Celebuzz at the Gotham magazine cover party in Manhattan on Monday.
Guess it pays (literally) to have Rowling's personal digits!
But Rowling made Radcliffe sweat, responding hours later and telling him that "she was so pleased with my performance in Harry Potter 7: Part 1 that as a reward, she promised to never write another book about Harry."
But with the lightning bolt soon to be washed off his forehead as the franchise ends this July with the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, Radcliffe says he is definitely ready to move on to more grown up roles.
"I've been so busy with How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying that I haven't been thinking about Harry. In a few months, I'll have to flip the switch and get back into Potter mode for a few days, but right now there isn't time to be nostalgic about it," he told Celebuzz.
One big day Radcliffe isn't getting nostalgic over? The royal wedding.
"I won't be getting up at 4 a.m. to watch the wedding. I'll catch the highlights on CNN," Radcliffe revealed. "Back home apparently everyone is most excited for the four day weekend, not the wedding."
We're just excited that you aren't planning on revealing yourself in Equus again, D.Rad.
