Rumour - Billie Piper, Freema Agyeman and Catherine Tate all come back for cameo roles in Doctor Who
Mirror UK
THE new episode of Doctor Who sees the return of former stars Billie Piper, Freema Agyeman and Catherine Tate.
Each of the feisty females were huge hits with fans as sidekicks to the Time Lord when he was played by David Tennant in earlier series.
And they come back in cameo roles in the episode Let’s Kill Hitler, this time alongside Matt Smith, 28.
A show source said: “They don’t have a big part to play, but fans will love to see them return and they are trying to help Matt in an hour of need.
“It is a humorous scene and it opens the door to any of them if they wanted to come back and do some more filming in the future.”
Viewers at a private screening of the first episode were also treated to a montage of episodes from the forthcoming series, which showed pyramids, Cybermen and Daleks – despite show boss Steven Moffat saying recently they were to be given “a rest”.
Moffat also said his intention was to include Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler in the next episode for comedy value.
He said: “Hitler is iconic – in an evil and ghastly way.
“In Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade there was a brilliant gag where Indiana Jones accidentally gets Hitler’s autograph.
“I think if you really want to p*** off Hitler you don’t make him into an icon of evil, you take the mickey out of him, make him a joke, make him be punched by Rory.”
