Still a Wonder Woman: 59-year-old Lynda Carter looks stunning at Kennedy Centre Honours

Her image adorned the bedroom walls of millions of adolescent boys in the seventies.

And Lynda Carter - who starred as Wonder Woman - proved this week that she has still got it.
The actress, now 59, looked absolutely stunning at the 33rd Annual Kennedy Centre Honours in Washington DC.

Dressed in a black down with an unusual embellished shoulder and neckline and a fur stole, she turned heads as she sashayed down the red carpet.

Since becoming a household name thanks to that tiny red, gold and blue outfit, Carter has worked regularly in small television and film roles.

In recent years she has appeared as a guest star in episode of Law & Order and Smallville, as well as in the 2005 remake The Dukes of Hazzard.

Her youthful appearance made her the centre of attention among a roomful of stars including Julia Roberts, Paul McCartney, Oprah Winfrey and President Barack Obama.

He might have the rock look going on with his biker jacket and Ducati motorcycle.

But the yoga mat and towel tucked under his arm gives away that Orlando Bloom is no Easy Rider.
The actor was snapped leaving his exercise class in Los Angeles yesterday doing up his helmet as he walked to his bike.

But while he wore tough gloves, spent several minutes safely securing his helmet and made sure his top half was protected by a durable black jacket, his bare legs weren't exactly suitable.

The actor was no doubt getting in some exercise time as he prepares for his biggest role to date - fatherhood.

The Pirates of the Caribbean star and his Victoria Secret's wife Miranda Kerr are expecting their first child - said to be a boy - next month.

The look of love: Angelina and Brad steal the show with intimate appearance in New York

Every time they put on the glitz for the red carpet, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are the epitome of a couple in love and enjoying a special night out.

And their appearance at the unveiling of The Tourist was no exception.

Despite the presence of Hollywood heart-throb Johnny Depp, not to mention hundreds of screaming fans, the parents of six seemingly only had eyes for each other at the New York event.

Clearly both in high spirits, the photogenic pair happily posed for pictures – most of which showed them gazing lovingly at each other.

They were almost always in constant contact, holding hands or standing with their arms intertwined.
And when they did part to individually meet and greet the many fans who had turned out for a glimpse of the world's most high-profile couple, the adoring crowd went crazy.

Angelina looked every inch the screen goddess that she is in a full length wrap around cashmere Versace gown, slit to the thigh.

With sexy smoky eyes, pale pink lips, and with half her hair swept up into a messy top-knot, the 35-year-old star stole the show at the screening.

Angelina and Brad's affectionate display in the US has fallen in the middle of a busy period for the jet-set couple.
Just last week they stepped out together for the unveiling of 46-year-old Brad's new film, Megamind, in Paris, and Angelina has also been hard at work in Budapest lensing for her directorial debut.

The Tourist, released on December 10, sees Angelina team up with leading male Johnny for the first time in their careers.

He arrived at the premiere, dressed in his usual eclectic style, but without his partner of 12 years, and mother of his two children, Vanessa Paradis.

British actor Paul Bettany, who plays FBI agent Acheson, was also at the screening, attending with his wife of seven years, Jennifer Connelly.

RIP Elizabeth Edwards

Just after announcing that she was no longer in remission yesterday, Elizabeth Edwards died Tuesday morning in her North Carolina home after a 6-year battle with breast cancer.  Edwards died surrounded by loved ones.  Our condolences go out to her family and friends.
